“it has been amazing to see the reactions of the patients and families.   The few we have worked with here on in-patient have really been enjoying it.  The kids are so proud of the beads and it makes great conversation starters between the patient’s, families, and staff.  Patient’s that maybe normally are very quiet and slow to warm up, light up when asked about the beads, beam when showing them to staff, and know exactly what each one represents.   So please pass on to the artists that their hard work is making a difference!”  Wendy Kellogg, CCLS, BS, CPST, Child Life Specialist at the Bronson Children's Hospital.

On July 1st, the West Michigan Glass Art Center delivers the first 1000+ beads to the Bronson Children's Hospital.  We are all extremely excited about the launch of the Bronson Journey Beads Program in the coming weeks.

Hello, Bronson Journey Bead Artists!  Thanks again for playing such a vital role in bringing the healing power of art to children who are fighting cancer.  Journey Beads symbolize significant milestones in a child's cancer treatment.  Looking over the hundreds of gorgeous beads we have created so far, we feel so proud to be part of such an important project.  As we complete this beading journey together, lets post lots of fun photos and notes of our progress in this blog.  THANK YOU and happy beading!!
